Why clips grow podcasts
Podcast apps are hard places to be discovered. Short-form video feeds are the opposite: they show your content to people who have never heard of you. A 45-second moment with a strong opinion or a funny story is often the first contact a new listener has with your show.
A simple weekly routine
Record and export your episode as usual. Upload the video file to Clippergen, ask for five to ten clips, and schedule one per day.
- Upload the full episode (up to three hours)
- Pick 5–10 clips with captions on
- Copy the suggested title and hook
- Post daily and link to the full episode
Audio-only podcast?
Clippergen needs a video file. If you only record audio, export your episode as a video with a static cover image or a simple waveform, and your clips will carry your captions over it.
Picking the right episode moments
The clips that travel furthest from podcasts are usually strong opinions, short stories with a twist, practical answers to common questions, and moments of genuine laughter. Clippergen's highlight model looks for exactly these self-contained moments, so each clip makes sense to someone who has never heard your show.
If you interview guests, clips of their best answers are also great for them to share, which brings their audience to your show.
Recording tips for clip-friendly episodes
Small changes at recording time make clipping easier:
- Use one camera per person, or a centred two-shot that crops well to vertical
- Keep microphones close for clean audio and accurate captions
- Restate the question in your answer so clips stand alone
- Avoid long cross-talk; one voice at a time makes cleaner cuts
Turning clips into listeners
Post clips consistently, ideally daily during a launch week, and always point viewers to the full episode in your caption or pinned comment. Over time, look at which topics perform best and use that to plan future episodes.
