This policy explains what Clippergen collects when you create an account, upload videos and buy credits, and what we do with it.
Account information
We store your email address, a hashed password, your credit balance and your usage history. We use IP addresses to prevent abuse and enforce rate limits, and keep server logs for security.
Your videos and clips
The videos and subtitle files you upload are used only to produce your clips. The source upload is deleted as soon as processing finishes, whether it succeeds or fails. Finished clips, their titles and their transcripts are stored privately in your account until you delete them or close your account.
Service providers
To transcribe audio, we send an audio-only extract of your upload to a speech-to-text provider such as Groq. To pick highlights, we send the text transcript to AI model providers such as OpenRouter and NVIDIA. They process this data on our behalf under their own policies.
Payments
Payments are handled by Paddle, our merchant of record. We never see or store your full card details.
Analytics
We use the Meta Pixel to measure page views and sign-ups. Meta may receive browser information under its privacy policy.
Retention and your rights
You can delete clips at any time from your dashboard. If you close your account, we delete your clips and personal data, except records we must keep for tax and accounting. If you live in the EEA, UK or California, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or limit the use of your personal information. Contact [email protected] to make a request. This service is not directed to children under 13.
